Caliente Youth Center of correction is a state prison located in Caliente, Nevada. The Caliente Youth Center is run by the Nevada Department of Corrections (DOC) who offer the inmates the following programs in a bid to help them reform:

The incoming mails are strictly inspected to dispose of contrabands and can only be delivered if they have a return address; a mail without a return address is disposed of with other disallowed items.

Publications such as books and magazines are allowed into the Caliente Youth Center. However, they have to be directly sourced from the publishers or bought from a recognized store.

Sending money

The offenders in Caliente Youth Center are allowed to receive funds from both relatives and friends for deposit into their inmate telephone account and commissary account. Offenders at Caliente Youth Center are expected to have a trust account set up when booked into Caliente Youth Center. Once permitted you can visit an inmate during walk-in hours, that is from Thursday all through Sundays. The visiting sessions are 8:30am – 10-30am, and 1:30pm – 3:30pm.
