Pelican Bay State Prison of correction is a state prison located in Crescent City, California. The Pelican Bay State Prison was opened in 1989. The Pelican Bay State Prison is run by the California Department of Corrections (DOC) who offer the inmates the following programs in a bid to help them reform:

The incoming mails are strictly inspected to dispose of contrabands and can only be delivered if they have a return address; a mail without a return address is disposed of with other disallowed items.

There are specific days and time when you can visit a certain inmate at the Pelican Bay State Prison However, you have to undergo an approval process. Once permitted you can visit an inmate during walk-in hours, that is from Thursday all through Sundays. The visiting sessions are 8:30am – 10-30am, and 1:30pm – 3:30pm.
